I bought recently a Roland SP 555 SAMPLER. But guess what ? DRIVERS ARE NOT WORKING UNDER WINDOWS 10. With USB drivers THE SP 555 can be used as a sound card . So when you play a sound file on your computer, you can sample directly via USB, without degrading the quality of the sound. On the other hand, it is more usefull than filling the CF card in "blind" mode. + the USB can be also used as MIDI IN/OUT. + updates need USB MIDI Spending one hour to test all drivers versions, WIN7, WIN7 64bits, VISTA, XP, WIN8,...nothing worked. The SP 555 was here in the device manager, but with the infamous question mark... I spent one hour to modify the .INF files of the WIN7 64 bits version, disabled the driver protection mode of WIN10, and everything is now working like a charm !!! - SP-555 is recognized by Windows - The SP-555 is seen as a sound card - I can use the windows mixer to set the default output to SP 555 - MIDI IN and OUT is perfectly working with USB : I did the update to 1.4 version Procedure and modified drivers download here : https://techiesexpedition.blogspot.fr/2017/06/roland-sp-555-drivers-for-windows-10.html Hope that will help !! |

IT FUCKING WORKS! Thank you so much, dude, I really appreciate what you've done, it's been almost a year since I've been trying to make it work on usb on win 10! Nice freaking job! |

Thank you for modifying this driver to work with Windows 10 X64! Still working flawlessly on my Windows 10 machine. |
