is it possible to assign a particular MIDI note to the pads? like assigning a particular note to each different pads.

Can we save the edited scene/the note assignments so that we can recall instantly while performing?

It says how to alter the midi setup towards the back of the manual. You have to hold something down when you are turning on the machine. I know you can change the channel control setup (maybe notes to...?) ... although the options seem pretty limited.

I went through all the setups to find the one that corresponded best with my sequencer (Yamah RM1x). I don't recall exactly, but I think you can only spread the pad banks over 2 channels... ?

Can anyone else back me up on this, or is that wrong?

so there is no way to assign different MIDI note as we desire to the pDS...if so this is one major drawback of SP-555.

What are you using your SP to control?

Hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes by saying this... but, playing in note values from the SP to output on another device doesn't sound like the most optimal way to run it (although you may just be on some next level shit that I'm not understanding... )

You could probably achieve the same final output by sampling whatever tones you need into your SP.

I'm using Blofeld, Micro X, QY100, and my MacPro. The question was very simple and the answer is already known.

Can we assign different MIDI notes to the pads?
No. The MIDI notes in the Pads are fixed in SP-555.

We are not talking about Sampling or looping or recording.

Thanks.

That's funny. Obviously somebody's toes got squashed, which wasn't my intention at all.

Best of luck with it. 8)
