Its probably a setting. I think for cubase your gotta setup the 555 as the computers default soundcard but I could be wrong. Check the prefrences in cubase also.

I have a question. Didn't want to start a new topic for it.

The specs say it has 24 A/D converters, yet in cubase when I select SP-555 as audio device I can record only at 16bit.

Is this a setup/cubase issue? Do ppl who use this in sonar get 24bit?

thanks in advance.

got that damn right. seriously get rid of that sonar ish and just cop a torrent of ableton (who cares. buy hardware steal software).

but if not...
its probably something like
edit----> preferences-----> audio devices/audio settings etc

then if its not connected it will probably say something like DIRECT X
make sure when you select the driver SP555 its under ASIO because sometimes it shows up twice

Ok thanks. So in live you're able to record at 24bit? Then this has to be a setup issue.
