so, a friend of mine is currently using my 555 and i dont have access to it, were many states apart. I would love to have it to use the effects on it but obviously i cant, does anyone know a way to achieve the same effects through a vst plugin or daw?

Renoise will cover pretty much everything the SP-555 does in terms of FX, plus sample editing, sequencing, etc... Also reasonably priced, much like Reaper.

Izotope's Stutter Edit and Roger Linn's AdrenaLinn Sync provide a more direct workflow I guess, but won't cover everything.

I'm sure there are many more, including free VST(i)s and stuff.

Might wanna check kvraudio for that.
