Was it so hard for the Roland to integrate a sequencer in the SP?? :( Yee, I know, it would have been perfect then...

DO u guys think that getting a MPC500 together with my SP would be a good complementary idea?

it does have a sequencer to be fair. It only records notes on one channel. try plugging a keyboard in transmitting on channel 1 and set a pattern recording. the next problem is to not have samples saved on notes you've sequenced with your keyboard.

I get round this by using the last banks first. They correspond to really high midi notes you probably don't need to sequencer.

Still beats carrying another sequencer around, and recording in cycles with optional swing quantize is quite inspiring.
