The v104 update should have fixed issues with a lot of cards, but I like to know what works before wasting time and spending money on them or to save money with cheaper cards. Feel free to list your own working cards.

Lexar Professional 80x 2GB has always worked with no issues (on v103).
SanDisk Ultra 15MB/s 2GB cards work with no issues since v104.

If you don't power down the SP-555 before removing or inserting a CF card and/or if you remove the CF card from your reader on your computer improperly, you can develop errors on the card that are normally fixed by reformatting the card and changing your habits. I had this happen with the Lexar once. Windows 7 kept wanting to scan and fix it, and eventually the sampler didn't like that card until I popped it in and reformatted it (dumped the samples on computer first).

Transcend 133x 2GB CompactFlash works as well. I recently purchased 3 for just under $30 from Amazon.com, though I believe they just raised the price up to $11.89, when they were previously a little over $9 a card.

My idea is telling what I'm using in it that works helps others in their flash card decision. The system update fixed it for most cards, but no one wants to buy a card, and it not work. If it's been covered before for a different sampler, it's covered again for those using the SP-555. Hopefully, the system update made it hard to get a non-working card, but I think people would buy more confidently from a list of known cards that work.
