I'm an aspiring emcee that want to produce his own tracks, and the SP-404 is the only sampler I could afford that actually had good reviews. I got it not too long ago, so is there any suggestions on other equipment I should get to compliment my sound? I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks fam,

D.U.N.K. Professor

When it comes to sampling, I'm fairly new to it. I've been making beats on synths...I have a E-MU MP-7, a MicroKorg, and I use Reason and Cakewalk for editing. I wanna switch to sampling to keep it traditional Hip Hop and i like my records to be dark and dirty. =D

I'm glad I purchased it then...what sold me to the machine was someone told me it can bang as hard as an MPC if you put work into it. And with the 404 price compared to an MPC 1000, 2000, 2000XL...you can't beat the price. I'm ballin' on a budget. LOL!!!!

I don't think you'd be in need of any other equipment for a long time if you've got all that stuff already and now your SP.

Great machines for sure, but it produces a bit too 'electro'-flavored musicat least to my likings.. so I've sold it a few weeks ago.

It's not bad though when it comes to tweaking sounds, adding crazy dazy effects and so on. Pretty cool.

Oh and I had some trouble with the volume output, some effects have a HEAVY increase of output.. so at times it scared the b j out of me, stunned me a few times LOL.
