Hi Guys, signed in to this forum today looking for some help.

How do you specify which pad bank is gonna play from the midi input?

when I send a midi sequence to the SP505 note C1 to C2 will trigger the 16 pads but only on the preset bank 1.

I want to use external sequencer to trigger samples from my card bank..

Anybody can help?

Thanks

so the the 505 needs you to send a program change message on channel 1 to give you access to the other banks.

so

you need a "Program Change note 0" to get back to pad-bank1.

you need a "Program Change note 1" to get back to pad-bank2.

you need a "Program Change note 2" to get back to pad-bank3. ect...

all the banks respond to midi notes 36-51 on whichever channel you have selected on "Pads Ch" under "system utility midi".

also the the 2 pitch banks respond to keys about 22 notes up the scale.

Thanks,

Managed to find out how to do it in the midi implementation section of the manual about an hour ago... great forum though. had my 505 for nearly 15 years but always used it standalone. now trying to do funky stuff with my eurorack synth.
