hey y'all Got a 32GB SD Card to use with my SP-404SX. I was hoping to use the original 1GB card that came included with the sampler for my Zoom field recorder, but the instruction manual for the SP says: "Do not format the SD card included with the SP-404SX! The included SD card contains preload [sic?] data. All of this data will be lost if you format the included SD card." Is this just telling me that if I wipe/reformat the card, I'll lose all the samples that came preloaded on the card? Because that's fine; I don't need them. Or is it telling me I'll somehow royally mess up something within the SP itself or the SD card? I know the latter question doesn't make much sense and makes me sound naive, but I just wanna know if any of y'all have used your included SD card for things besides the SP and had any issues. Just don't wanna mess anything up permanently. Thanks for the help; apologies if this has already been answered before and I just didn't dig far enough into the forum. |

The original card holds all the preset data. It's safe to delete it. You can always transfer it back to an SD card from the Utility CD Rom that ships with the unit. If you don't have it, you can still download it at http://www.rolandus.com/products/sp-404sx/downloads/. |
