I think we should have a section on the site where people can buy/sell old samplers and drum machines since we all seem to collect them and everyone here is on some chill shit so I don't think we have to worry about shady cats.

Speaking of for sale.
I got a dwi a while back and now I need bread bad (dont want to go back to jail...I did 6 months in the tx state pen and I have had my fill of jail).
I hate to do it but Im selling my 555 for 600.
I know thats high but I am also giving the 2gb jamedia cf card, fs5u footswitch, the instr cable, a shure sm58 mic and a mic cable.
I bought all brand new mid april from guitarcenter.com and still have the invoice. All items are new except the mic which Ive had a couple years but I have only used a small number of times. Everything in PERFECT condition. Shipping anywhere in Cont US 35 bux including insur and tracking number. I do accept paypal and you can check my ebay rating if you want...its at 100% and never had a prob (username multiman090100).
Or if your in Jersey you can pick up and no shipping. Anyway, all this stuff would cost you way over 800 bux (check it at guitarcenter.com) so if your looking hollar and help me stay outta jail.
But seriously, I will try to check back often for interested parties.

I wish I still had the time and energy to work this but I know you guys are still making great music so that makes me smile.
Also, I may entertain trades/money for the right drum(darbuka, djembe, doumbek, hank drum or a hapi drum...really need money though :x I hate this. Be safe. Dont get caught or just smoke and stay home

i like the sm 58 for recording because you can scream into it and it doesnt clip. not that im screamo or anything, when im recording the neighbors know.

yo is the sm 58 good enough to record rap vocals or is it rather a mic that you would record drums and other sounds with?

Also, does anybody know any rapper that uses a sm58 for vocals so I can hear what it sounds like?

The Sm58 is a pretty versatile mic.. you could record anything with it. Loads of people use them live for vocals(that's where they really shine)

I don't know who uses them in studio though.
