Whats going on! about 8 years ago i had a sp 505 (RIP). Currently im making beats with ableton, maschine, and microkorg. Im interested in getting an SP for doing live sets, so i dont have to lug around my laptop, mpd, apc40 and stuff. Im not too concerned with making beats on an SP, but i might get into it. Right now my eye is on the SP 404sx. Any suggestions? Thank! - Know Talent |

I've had the 404og, 505, 606 and currently have the 404sx. Would defo recommend the 404sx, especially for live. Nice and portable, plus the pad copy and exchange function is a god send for organising samples. Never used the 555, but its got 4 more pads and the d beam. Not sure if that would interest you. Search afta 1 live in YouTube. He uses the d beam to control the filter on his samples live. Works very nice. |
