i'M on the verge to try using my sp 404 with my dr202 sequencer. I wonder how it will work.

It doesn't matter what sequencer you use on the 224 it will only play the samples in gate mode. I've sequenced my sampletrak with a korg esx, Roland mc307, yamaha qy100, iPad and my computer. Just draw out your notes in the piano roll and yer good to go. You CAN NOT trigger sequences in pattern mode from a midi controller. You can play a sequence in the regular mode but the 224 only accept midi start so the patterns will go out of sync if the daw tempo is not a whole number.
