I'm sure someone on hear said they have one but I'm not sure who. Looks dope, but I would definitely go for the still very portable and more feature rich br-600 for just a tiny bit more money. I could make a whole sampled track in one of those without my 303, it has a drum machine with pads and you have great freedom in your sequences using 8 tracks.

The micro is iller!
I'll support any presidential candidate that would pledge to buy millions of these for every school in American music class-
Overall, recording gear quality has reached "The best" it's ever going to get vs. 'the best it ever got'- Ipod sized multitrackers are whats next!

the br-600 is sick. I really like the lofi fx. layer lofi drums with the original drums( add some extra treble to original drums). you get a sound better than those old samplers.

They're both sick, it just depends on what you need.

Yea I've got a Micro Br, dj vivi pedraglio has also got one. I jus bit her style. I love it. I record samples into it, with various boss pedal efx then I can chop it up on the sp404 and I can record my patterns in stereo or as separate tracks. I can then export it as an mp3 or a wav file. Its so handy, and I don't even use all its features. It eats batteries tho, so I recommend getting rechargables.

How many hours do you get from a set of batteries?

Battery life is not so bad (2 AAs). Your best bet is to get some rechargeables, and if you're just sitting contemplating, turn it off.
I will be taking the Micro with me on TG break, and will find out what it's really made of and report back!

It records stereo and mono. The sound is as good as what you put in, plus you've got a few mastering settings that you can configure yourself.

How good is the compression on the final stereo mix down?

The compression is nice, plus you can tweak it. It works nice on drums with the limiter efx.

The thing is great. One disappointment I've encountered is:
You can't record 2 or more tracks at once without an external device.
You can however record stereo, OR record 2 sources to the same track!
But unless I missed something, no realtime multitracking.
The inboard mic ain't half bad-
Still love it-
