Bought one about five years ago from a friend's dad but lost the power cord soon after. Anybody got one? What are its advantages? I'm moving soon and have to part with my beloved Yamaha EX7, and I'm keeping my micron and one other synth... Should I sell the juno it or get a new power supply for it?

Assuming you mean the Alpha Juno 2, the power jack looks like this, right?

So all you need is just the power cable, not a new power supply.
That type isn't too common, mostly found on Japanese gear only. Still your local electronics supplier should have them or be able to order one for you. Just a few dollars, so I'd say just keep it. Junos are real classics used and loved by countless musicians of all genres.

Keep it. The tone of those old Junos are fantastic.

My Roland JX-8P doesn't have original power cord so I soldered on a cable from old TV set and insulate with some tape... it's been like that for years.
Power cord for Roland MC 909 is the same... that can be ordered probably without problem.

Oh yeah, and if you're fit with electronics, you can maybe replace the socket by one of these:

dont worry it's the Alpha, look at the greek letter (the "alpha") before the "juno 2". it's a great synth!

I have the Juno 6 and the sub is incredible, forget about added extras to give the sound more 'body' or 'warmth'.
