Is there a trick with the auto sync? It seems I can't resample or tweak effects or anything while its doing that... Do I just have to bounce it out?

Also it comes up ''tuning'' when I press the autosync, then I press it again and it goes to ''master''. Whats up with the tuning?

And are there some hidden tricks using the SPECIAL button in combination with multiple other buttons?

(As far as i remember - don't really use the Auto sync)

i.e. you have a drumbreak (for example 85bpm) on pad 1 and a sample-Loop (for example 4 bars Long, 90 bpm) on pad 2

you can now go to Auto sync, so it's asking you which way to sync it "Tuning" means pitching / "reample" creates a new timestretched sample.

So you hit Auto Sync (choose which way to Auto sync Tuning/resample) if you want the sample (pad 2) match the bpm of the drums (pad 1) you Press the Pad 1 after MASTER and pad 2 after SLAVE is displayed. press Auto sync again - done. i think you could resample that without a Problem but as i said i never really used the Auto sync.

here's a link to the referring page of the Manual if you're confused when reading my bad english "tutorial" haha

I got the manual and I got to sit down and read it sometime.
There is so much I haven't used or have no idea how to work.

I still can't pin down the Offset function. I wonder the capabilities of this.

The SampleTrak forums has been dead for a few years.
It's a ghost town there compared to this board.
I've had ST-224 questions that got answered here.
Wish I seen more posts in the Music section with beats using strictly SampleTrak.

track 1, and 4(controlled by an200) are only st224 (plus samples), the rest, track 3 has st224 drums

The Zoom SampleTrak is a dope and seriously slept on machine. Props and respect to Formal for putting me down with it back in 2008. I've used it stand alone for the last few years but have been hearing and seeing people's success in regards to external MIDI control which makes me want to use it in that manner.

'ssup scope :)
had a similar Problem with th main outputs. didn't had to change anything though. Have a look into the output and at the metal contacts. Mine were corroded so I took a screwdriver and scratched it off a few times.

Contacts came back to life without noise or audio breakups.

Hope this will work for ya!
Peace and happy chopping =D

I have the SP-555 & 606, along with a Yamaha SU200... the SampleTrak is an absolutely great piece of gear! Don't hesitate to pick one up if you find it for a good price. Combined with the leaked editor software, this thing is so powerful. A rare gem!

Just wanted to complete this:

i had a annoying Problem with my headphone Output (only hear Music on one side, noise when moving the cable/jack, etc)

I opened up the sampletrak and wanted to desolder the old headphone Output. but when i looked closer at the soldering-points i saw that one of them was cracked a bit - i've put a drop of new solder on the cracked one and it's working like new again

Is there any way to delete some of the internal samples it came with? Some I'd never really use. It would be nice to get some more memory freed up. I printed up the manual for it, but I forgot where I put it. Don't really want to scroll through a PDF file all day on my iPhone.

Let me know if you guys can help.
