i honestly don't get what you are asking though

it should slide between repeat lengths fine if you move your finger across

what i wanted to mean is that if i slide my finger from right to left the bpm fx works well but if i slide from left to right it stay at the highest (1/2) length , it don't "change" (no return) to the 1/4, 1/8 etc lengths ...i think kp2 bpm fx works well only from right to left...
it is the same for the kp3?

the kp3 changes both ways

With OS 2.0 there are also 2 different loop-types you can choose between in the menu settings - which specify what happens when you move to a different loop length.. these control whether when you move yuor finger to a different loop length the new loop starts from the point in the loop you changed the position of your finger or stays as the beginning of the original loop and just gets shorter/longer.

.

ok.
this is interesting for me.
the trouble i got is that i see values change in the display even when i slide from left to right but i hear no changes in sound...
do you know if this "both ways" tip is valuable also for the kp2? maybe i bought one kp2 broken?

This is regarding the looper effects 1-13 and also SY. 10

Press shift + pad led ('6'), scroll through to LooP.. press the encoder-button.. then select type 1 or type 2 and press write

The explanation is a bit retarded in the V2 additions manual, but I think its basically that one loop type changes the start point of the loop when you move your finger horizontally, and one leaves the start point the same as when you initially touch the pad even when you change loop length.

I hope you're up to speed with all the other OS2 stuff cos its crazy!
-different loop trigger/gate modes for the a/b/c/d
- mix vol of all 4 loops at once
-slide/offset loops by +/- 1 beat in 32nd intervals

yea man i basically live in the mixer mode using the segments to trigger loops like i outlined ...you got to try that shit!

i saw this other loop effect before that you described and i was like what the fuck is that!!!! mainly because of how trippy it looked...

i slide the beats off with the +/- and then trigger parts of it so i can slice into the sp 555

alot of people would use the sp 555==then the kp3 but i think it works better the other way around

i have absolutely no use for the gate mode tho i love the classic looping mode, its so unique and gets rid of slight error in punch in timing

gate / retrigger modes I use alot...

have my kp3 running on its own at the moment, nothing on the input,
just have 4 versions of the same breakbeat in it, but each one starting on a different part of the loop,

so when i hit different a/b/c/d i can play different hits but still keep the loop running

then usually have either the looper effects or grain fx running
