for linux there is , LMMS ( linux multi media studio ) , audacity and freebirth i am shure there is more i just havint used linux for a while. haha at one point i was trying to make beats with a terminal sequencer ! haha.

yo, Myabe it is just me but every mac I ever used is slow as hell and froze always before i could save my project, they were always slow as hell and had bad latency with a digi protools desk .

when i was in high school all the scarf wearing emo hipsters swore by mac then i tryed to use one for photoshop and it froze before i could edit my pic, then i spent like 5 classes trying to print on a mac and eventually gave up cause it didnt like me I guess.

I really think there is no performance or quality diference at all !

just the driver stuff, you can buy a mac and turn it on out of the box and everything will work, so they say.

I guess this can be true with a pc aswell.

underneath mac operating system lies the ancient UNIX system , now i think its some form of BSD.

and when it comes down to it , im pretty shure windows DOS is a unix vartiant, so its all the same thing really

it really is a thing of preference i think . maybe even a bit of status to own a good mac aswell .

Yes, it's you alright. Macs are not slow computers at all, but perhaps you were messing with very ancient iMacs or something?
