yeah the dr 202 is dope, the lo-fi samples sound good... midi it up to a sp-202, 303, 404, 505 & 808, you'll be rockin'... 8)

they are great
the bass synth can get some very acidy tones with a tweak of the cut-off and resonance

*hunts for the Dr 202 chicken photo*

The 202 was my first drum machine years ago. I have a Zoom MRT-3 now, it's pretty nice almost pocket sized. I miss my 202 sorely though. The 202 is what led me to the SP series, it has basically the same sequencer. My birthday is next month maybe I can sell this Zoom and scrape some pennies together and treat myself to another one.

i like mine. i actually think it is a more sophisticated machine than most, if not all, of the sp-series. you have track muting, external seq(*1) and the bass is dirty and can be played via keyboard.

oh shhhhhhhh....
don't tell nobody or they'll double in price

Reminds me of something youd see on star trak. Theres alot more drums in it then you would think to and you can put some pretty cool songs together. I need to get that midi cable pretty bad.

when i saw the box then.. i looked it up on youtube and ebay and stuff.. there was a dood tearing it up on that box on youtube.. then again its hard to tell when people are just messing with stock beats and doing stuff with those.. but it seemed like he knew what he was doing... it looks cool and they are cheap err. i mean REALLY EXPENSIVE on ebay...

yeah, i KEEP looking at these. they're...what....three track sequencers? am i right about that?

something like, two internal tracks and one you can link to an external device?

or am i crazy (like those chickens...wtf!)??

Three tracks it is. 1 for drums, 1 for bass, 1 for external. I used to Midi Out to FL Studio 4 with my 202. I always made better basslines on it.
