Looks promising, hopefully the price will be reasonable.

Looks incredible, I wonder if it will push Roland to release a new sampler ? Not long until NAMM 2017...

Gonna give this thread some life because a lot has happened and revealed. And now that NAMM'17 begins on Jan. 19, we should be seeing more.

First let me show you the back as illustrated in the manual.

This the official reveal from Japan.

Now this is their flagship, the MPC-X

More to come and both are standalone and can be used with a computer if desired.

All I can say, if you owned or messed with an MPC before, expect the same shit but updated and upgraded for today's generation. I might get the LIVE, I was thinking about the new Pioneer Toraiz SP-16 but visiting their forums, everyone seems to be pissed that a $1500 sampler only has 32 seconds sample time. I was under the impression that every pad has a limit of 32 seconds per sample, but it looks like the entire machine is limited to 32 seconds.

That's a steal!!
let's keep us our ms-1 or remix16, they have more or less the same sample time! : )

  All I ever wanted was an MS-1 with 16 pads!

I just spoke to Pioneer and they confirmed its 32 second limit per sample not the entire machine. So now its all about the muscle running them.

gotta say i was hyped at first because it looks so slick but then i had some questions..
will the touch-screen actually be fun/efficiënt to work with? i'm more of a knob-dude than a swipe-dude so i dunno..
what will it cost?

Well, you can assign effects to the 4 knobs the MPC Live offers.

These MPCs are UK made so prices are cheaper from places like Dawson's or Thomann. Gonna get mine from New York though, don't wanna risk warranty by using 3rd party adaptors.

I was tempted to buy the Toraiz SP16 but whats under the hood and for the price, cannot compete with the Live by itself. The Live outperforms it.

So after all these fucking months, I finally received my MPC Live and for a good price of $959.00. Got it charging at the moment but can't wait to explore it and make a beat.
