Here is a list of the sample rates the Yamaha SU200 uses: 44100Hz (High) 22050Hz (Standard) 11025Hz (Long) 5513Hz (Extra Long) These can be either Mono or Stereo You can sample using any quality. The SU200 will only Resample internally at Standard quality. Resampling with different quality samples together will produce artifacts and/or severely alter the sound of the sample(s). You cannot use any effect with a High quality sample. I like to use the Loop Remix effect, export as wave, remove pops & clicks, import back to SU200. Scratch is also fun for drum samples, like playing the hihat. Having a sample set to Trigger will allow the sample to play out until it's end, but pressing the button again will not retrigger the sound, it will stop the sound. The smaller size SM card you use, the faster the JOB functions work. You can change the name of your saved volumes and waves using a computer. There is no 'Delete All' option for internal memory, so it is a good idea to save an empty internal memory set as a card volume save. Load it when you want to clear your internal memory. Here is an empty save you can download to your SM card: https://www.mediafire.com/?ru1n0ukiiyx5vo4 Overall: The Yamaha SU200 is a great intro-level sampler. Don't expect anything amazing out of it. It's an awesome lo-fi battery-powered unit for its time. It goes well with Casio sampling keyboards |

the fact you cannot use the pitch via midi or at least resample it, is a negative point on the machine. you can do both on the su10, and you have mute group too on it. i have both samplers, but the su200 i ve payed it very very inexpensive deal. i use it mostly to do cool mute-unmute pads or as you said, with the remix effect |
