Yes! I'm in actual love with mine. Sure it has a lot of flaws, but the pitch + pitch scale are awesome.

Sampling, and trimming and stuff is such a breeze and there's some sweet functions if you dig a little deeper. Can't resample though, so having a recorder of some kind to bounce opens up a lot more possibilities.

i got one too (so far my biggest "steal" i bought it for 41$ incl shipping)

i don't use mine very often but when i do i always enjoy.

-the pitch is real nice (but global)
-i like the Sound of it
-i love it because of the pocket size

there are some weird things about it too, like if you sample something in Standard Quality and later something in ExtraLong then the Standard samples will be fucked up (slowed down to half the Speed)

have fun with it! Peace

I did my first beats with sampler and i have some questions:

-When i sample something in a certain quality (ex: standard) then another thing in another quality (ex: long) in the same bank, the pitch of the first sample changes: why ?!

-What the purpose of the pitch because you can't use it while your pattern is playing ? and you can't apply it on your sample, you have to stay in the pitch range mode of the sample (but still without samples or pattern running)...it's a bit unuseful i think.

-I think the batteries don't play so long, what about you ?

-How do you process to make beat with it ?

Tips:
I like using the scratch mode then slide slowly in riddim from the left to the right (stop in the middle of the rubber then start again from the left), it adds a glitch/ interesting sound in the back (like part of the sample pitched down in riddim )
Using the filter in riddim : pressing the left then right then left, it will switch the filter and make a kind of "jump filter"
Double low pitch drums (resample once) can create very good ones, especially kicks (rounded, woobly but strong) / with low quality it's good too

PS: i hate how you have to push 15 buttons to delete a sample and the low volume of this sampler (always need to bump the volume thru the MD player)

go to the "UTIL" Menu and change the (global) pitch there...

you can edit the volume of each sample too - but i agree it's not the loudest sampler but never had problems with that.

when i make a beat on the su10 i loop some drums on a pad, record a sample, chop it up (including the quirky "split" feature sometimes), put the samples in a mute group.

then i just let the drumloop play and jam along with the samples and record it live into the recorder (tape/handyrecorder/other sampler).

i just got me a second su10. first one was 46$ the second one 45$ both including shipping

Yea i saw this menu and i put pitch everything down because it adds memory

i like changing volume with the ribbon and start/ end too , very conveniant, but as soon as the volume is too high, i have some horrible cracks and pops

okay, i do same, or sometimes i record a 99bars drum pattern then play the pattern and freestyle with sample live

one thing i do, when i control the su10 from external seq, i do pitch scale on the fly to a chosen sample for some few seconds so it gives "variations" on the fly, then i come back to the before state
