man, maybe it's me but, except the bcr2000, i always had not positive experiences with beheringer products (mics and preamps above all).
saying this, i don't know this interface.
other interfaces for cheap, according on how many ins/outs you need, are m-audio fast track pro, ni komplete and the edirols (don't have a model in mind at the moment)...
i have the fast track pro and the komplete, so feel free to ask
they both haven't fx (no compression and such)
you could had compression on software

+1

I've had two of this exact model and they both lost a channel or started making crackling noises within days.

My buddy runs a live-sound/stage production company and he had a Berhinger for his "small club" rig... within a matter of weeks the EQ managed to stop working and the phantom power supply completely crapped out.

If you're looking for cheap recording... I'd browse eBay for a Steinberg CI1 interface. I picked mine up for $40 shipped. It ain't the best but I promise it will be far better (at least less of a headache) than the Xenyx you posted.

cool thanks, I will investigate the Steinberg CI1 interface & fast track pro.

I think if i can find one of those budget tascams I might get one of those too, for the mic pres and whatever, I dont need FX with the interface. I might need a DBX or something tho, that would be cool
