interesting for sure...at the same time, with the prices of some of the stuff, i can't help but feel a little bit played. Think about it...right now i can find a Roland Juno for $250 or so on craigslist....why pay $500 for a monosynth like a microbrute or korg ms-20. with that sort of price, we're entering into 2nd hand access virus territory. This being said, the more reasonable volca series seem to be pretty reasonable

You mean Alpha-Juno right?

Juno-60's go for about $1000 these days. And Alpha-Juno's have analog filters but digital oscillators.

It kind of depends on what kind of analogue you're after. Most people go with Virtual Analogue, because they get a synth that sounds like a real analogue, but it is usually a stereo synth with polyphony.

But if you want the real thing, then you're usually getting a mono-synth. One note at a time, usually no stereo, and may or may not have any CV to hook up to eurorack modules or filter incoming audio. Most people are discovering the joys of how synthesizers used to be used, when they were the size of old computers with cables attatched like a old phone system. Having to plug wires to all the different waveforms, filters, amps, sequencers, etc. But the interesting thing about the eurorack synths are the sounds that you stumble into.

It's also worth noting that you can usually get a more condensed analogue synth that you can patch into a eurorack later, or just stay in the one synth you purchased. Just depends on what you're willing to spend.
