lol politics

So its got:

Pros
Input FX, Global FX and Track FX
Its got undo
start all tracks at the same time or individually with mixers
Metronome with odd time sigs and pipe just to headphone
XLR with automatic detection on the lift
users scene saving and loading for settings
More plug in pedal options
555 like USB interface
Better display than the SPs have

Cons
No memory card - or is this a pro!
Does it allow a bounce between tracks and partial load of saved programs?
It looks like a tarts handbag (functional but full of attention seeking flash)
not sure if it is better under fingers than on a pedalboard?

I think I'll invest in one at some stage :)

Wow! I think the rc-505 is a perfect partner for a sp... It got midi and the it's loop functions can be used with the resampling method too. But sadly i read in a forum (sequencer.de) its price is over 600 euro... What the fuck. Not my range...

Does look cool but I think the big bad boss looper pedal might be more useful where it's under foot. This seems more targeted at vocal loop dudes?

Not sure why it matters to you guys that Roland do other instruments? Akai do a wind instrument thing and Roland do a virtual concertina thing..

600 bucks, fuck that noise. The price ill go down when they realize no one ill pay that for a looper in the day and age of pirated software (disclaimer: no offence to the people who actually pay for shit, have fun with that noise)
Anyone have any experience with the boss r3, tiny little loop pedal. Theres a used on at the guitar center for pretty cheap.
Let me know

Yeah, Roland needs to get their pricing in line with reality....the Korg microsampler competes with an SP sampler and it can be had for $300 brand new! The zoom r24 could give the 404sx a run for its money with new producers looking to get into sampling and amateur multitrack recording in one unit. I seriously considered buying one, but I found a 404sx for $200 which is closer to what they are really worth. Roland should know most producers/costumers they target already own computers and can probably pirate various audio software to create their music with.

Maybe its packed with so many features that the price just went up sky high as per cost to produce. Still, they should have considered a reasonable compromise to keep the cost down. Whos gona pay more than 300 bucks for a 5 track looper? Come on! It would be cheaper to get a sp 555 and use the loop capture and save to pad like a normal human without a ton of money.
Roland knows nothing about the workaround community, we will find a way like fucking Jurrasic Park (or Jurrasic part 2 when the dinosaurs did find a way to pro-create, fucking frog DNA)

So far, my only gripe is...
Plasticky and ugly but,
Name another 5 part stereo looper with midi, effects and four simultaneous inputs. The foot pedal can be added. If the rc-300 is to be compared with this then the price will not come down for years (it might go up though, roland has done it before). If it were metal and I knew more about midi slave, it would be an instabuy. However, my instabuy right now will be the bass station 2!
