If it works like 5 X 555 loopcaptures with the pedal that stay in time with each other and can be used live rather than 'stop the music and copy to pad' than that is cool.

Is it worth the money - depends on how useful it is to your workflow I guess.

cool features, way outta my pricerange tho.

you'd think for that cost they could have included 2 knobs for the effect section rather than just one... being able to only tweak 1 parameter at a time for a delay/etc is pretty boring.

Tried using my boss rc-50 for loops - it's cool but I saw the rc-505 has 5 tracks, effects, easier to trigger by hand and i had to try it out....got an rc-50 for sale if anyone interested 8)

Got one coming today from ebay, i'll report back if anyone is interested.

Will probably be running a SP555, Elektron A4, Bass Station II, maybe some vocals into it

Pls tell us if it's so much better and why. I'm actually thinking about an rc-50 someday. Just bc they're so cheap!

Well the RC-505 pretty much met or exceeded all my expectations - nice effects, 5 easy to setup tracks, great workflow. SHAMELESS PLUG: The RC-50 i had is for sale here if anyone is interested (and an RC-30)

I'll try to get a video of an impromptu jam and youtube it, it's the best way to see it at work ....there are some ok ones on youtube but mostly beatbox or guitar stuff, it can be used for so much more...Here's my basic take

RC-50
+built super rugged
+better for foot triggering/guitar (no hands)
+more outputs

RC-505
+better for synth/sampler hand use
+Effects: Input (choose from 21 types), Track (~24 types) + master reverb and compression
+Nice lights/interface/feedback
+5 tracks
+More storage
