I used my sampletrak with my mpc 2000, the two compliment eachother nicely. |

here's how i dirty up drums on sampletrak. talking about drums from sample packs here. bass hits: 1. sample at hi grade 2. tune up 14 higher than final tuning (so if i want it tunes down 3 i'd tune it up 11) 3. apply compression with knob all the way up and wheel near the bottom 4. resample at mid-grade 5. tune down to desired tuning snare: same as bass but sometimes tune up 17 higher instead of 14 hats: i don't dirty up hats, 32hz is dirty enough for hats perc: either don't dirty up or same as snare |

I have a problem with st224... I used zmf producer to load my st-224 with drum samples. Then I sampled something and tuned it, but when i opened it again it sounded like shit??? (corrupted or something)The drum samples werent affected. edit: someone on facebook had the same problem and described it better: "any1 got this issue? i sample into the sampletrak, then save it, open again and sometimes new samples are corrupted, very glitched, also when i sample something, and use play button in sample section, and use + or - to check other samples, the new sample disappear? i think it can be cause i am using 16mb smart media card. what i have noticed too, it started to happen when i was using my sm card with zmf producer to transfer files. i dont think my sampletrak is messed up, cause it is second one i have, and in both this situation happens quite often. maybe should i switch to smaller sizes than 16mb? any1 anything?" |
