Hey guys,
does anybody know of a hardware sequencer that has a simple slide effect button like the tb-303 has? even on the mc-303 you have to dive into the menus to activate the slide function for individual notes. i have nanoloop for gameboy and there you can do it easily but the sounds are so limited. i really like that slide effect for melodies and try to find a kind of cheap machine which can do it. the tb-303 clones can do it but they are to expensive for me. thanks for help in advance...

yeah, the tb 303 note slide is pretty much like mc 909 portameno with mono release, but nothing can emulate a tb 303 or its clones, so if you want rugged ass 303 , software is probably your best bet.

fruity loops does this easily in the piano roll,

yes, true, the 303 is inimitable. Due also to its filters and the analog converters etc...
one hardware machine near to it , they say, is one from mfb (sorry i don't remember the model exactly), from germany...
ps
btw
the an200 and the mc909 support portamento (on the an200 it's just staight in your face with a knob)

thanks a lot for the replies!
have to check out the ESX1/EMX and an200 manuals...

yeah, the fruity loops slide function is easy but i couldn't get it to send midi to my synths.
i don't want the sound of the tb-303, only the simple slide function to control midied up synths.
on most machines portamento effects all the notes that are played but the slide function can be used on individual notes in a sequence.
