This is as old-school as it gets as far as drum machines are concerned. I bought mine in '03 and instantly recognized it from hearing it on Steve Poindexter's Work That Muthafucka, De La Soul's Jennifa Taught Me, countless DB-X tracks, and more famously, The Gas Face by 3rd Base. You can hear it all over early acid house and techno tracks. The sampling option makes it the poor man's SP-12.

I own a modded one that has 808/909/DMX sound chips, some bends, and a sample expansion pack. It's a pretty dope party rocking box!!
