Is this possible in the 808? I know you can use the scrub button to see the waveform, but is it possible to edit waveforms with transients and the like? Thanks.

No not really but it does display the samples numerically and displays the BPM. So to loop stuff is very easy if you know the BPM. I do all my waveform editing in FL Studio and then sample it into the 808, its very easy to end up with perfect loops

Thanks for the tips, I know for a fact using the scrub button while in trim mode under start/loop/end point paramters gives you a view of the waveform, but I have heard in the past waveform editing could be done. Info on the topic is relatively confusing

Yes sorry I forgot about the scrub, I just sooo prefer to edit in FLStudio and then sample into the 808 with the record when it hears audio function and then just chop the tail down til it shows me the correct BPM, then I run it against a straight 4/4 kick to test the accuracy of the loop. Perfect everytime almost no need to retrigger in a sequencer. Plus when using a DAW you can add effects and such and then drop into the 808 and then use its effects=mind blown :-)
