is it true that the Roland SP-808 has no sequencer?

I was thinking of getting one and outfitting it with one of those multi card readers sold on mpcstuff but if there is no sequencer i think I’ll pass.

the 808 has a 4track harddisk recorder to built songs.you can recording live on atrack or you could set the samples in steps, from the pad banks.go to Roland and download the manual-my English is not good enough to explain that in details.

after reading the "ROLAND SP-808 Basics And Users Tips Manual"

i see the 808 has a step sequencer.

so not good for any music with an African beat. its sequencer would be for
dance music type stuff.

i could probably use it for other stuff if i turn of the sequencer learn to finger drum. but i don't have time for that now.

i'll just get the triple 5 (SP-555), thanks for your help.
