ey im new in this forum
i was wonderin,can this baby work with cubase or Ableton live

if yes,please lemme know the details like what should i do for a first step

hey man

just checked out your youtube videos, that's some sick stuff you got going on.

to integrate the SP-808 with a DAW you'll need to use MIDI. you can sync the SP with your DAw, and also control parameters in the DAW using the SP's knobs/pads.

i'm not certain of the SP-808's MIDI functionality, but at the back of the manual it should list the various controls it has.

i really wanna buy sp 606 but i cant find at my country!!!
plus lotta online shop wont shipp to my fukkin country
dang thats fukked up

i found the 808 on the local pawn shop..
so i hope this baby can work with cubase/Ableton

I think the SP-808's D-Beam, knobs, and maybe faders, can all send MIDI coninuous controller messages. So yes, it might work as a good controller for Ableton, etc. (Ask on the ableton.com community forums.) Setting it up in Ableton as a custom MIDI controller should be a simple process.

If it's available to you, I would suggest you get it. Plus, maybe someday somebody will finally get a Compact Flash or hard drive to work in the SP-808, which will give it a whole new life as an instrument in itself.
