Hey guys, I´m new here and searching since two days for a flash drive that will work on my new (old) 808.
Found this one: http://www.logilink.org/showproduct/PC0042.htm
What do you think? It´s does not support the hot swap function, but the rest of the specs seem to be fine…

Kind regards,
Mario.

i don't think that it will work.i have tried more than 10 cf cardreaders /adapters and as i Know threre are 2 that will work-Delock 91528 and IISDMC-
its difficult to became one of them.they're always out of stock.

if you found another solution please let me know!

Good Luck

Thanks for your answer… unfortunately i already bought it.
Another possible candidate i found is this:
http://www.scm-pc-card.de/index.php?lan ... uct_id=267

But there´s no information about the necessary Atapi Mode 4.
I think i will contact them and let you know.

As i read in other posts the most compatible CF Card for a working drive seems to be the SanDisk Ultra II
like offered here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/SanDisk-Ultra-II ... 3f2fa4187c

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
M.

hi,
sorry for answering so late,

yes the san disks flash cards seems to be the best ones.
about the Addonics have i only read in other forum

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/SP-808USERS/files

That they do not work.

By scm-pc-cards i have find one that would the sp808 sampling very well ,but you could only use the pad-banks not the song-strukture there.

Are you able to still use the sp808 wav converter program with the flashcard reader?

Sweet !!! I will be upgrading soon !!!! Just took my latest sp808 apart to solder in a few new buttons. I could tell the zip drive is very easy to change out and the cf reader is on Ebay for about $30.

they are on ebay and they have to be hot swappable . I haven't done the swap yet as I really am deciding if the whine really bothers me that much. But if I do it, I will document the whole process. Unfortunately my pc needs updated first so it will a be a few months away before I do the swap.
