Hi there, here I am once again, with a bunch of question :p

I have troubleshooting, as i am copying my patterns around..
Explanation...

I'm usin this superb copy pattern trick. Working well.

8 patterns stocked in Bank A.
Good.

Let's fill the other one...

1 pattern more..

and...

As i'm filling the next pattern pad/slot, everything seems good

But playin' it... it sounds like the different samples are overlaping,
i only have 1 bar playin with all the samples (the pattern is about 4 bar). The other bar are empty (no rythm, no samples)

It does the same for the next patterns.

Is it because there's a limitation in the internal memory about the number of patterns? I haven't read anything like this in the manual.

Have you ever met that kind of problems??

Thanks for advices!

It might be that you sample is on gate or something when you sequenced it, sometimes that will make a sample play strangely in the pattern.

I have already niticed that.
But i think that's not where the problem's comin' from, because other pattern are working well, and those are running the same sample.
It seems clearly that the memory is full of pattern informations....

I dunno. :p

May I ask what's the superb copy-pattern trick? I'm trying to find a good way to copy patterns, with just drums or samples. So I can create change ups. As for now it seems as if I have to recreate a beat on each pattern!

This is nuts offcourse! Advice is welcome.

look up 'flying lotus sp303 pattern copy' on youtube. there are also countless threads about it around here

but here's a quick reference:

1) Put your pattern from the card bank onto the A - B bank [DEL] + [REC]

2) Do a backup Save [CANCEL] + [Bank C-J]

3) Put back your pattern on C - J Bank [DEL] + [REC]

4) Recall the Backup [CANCEL] + [Bank A/B]

oke great. Im gonna try this. I believe I have drums stored on the banks A and B. I guess I should always keep a formatted bank A and B when copying patterns.

This works on the 303? Humm, since there is no C-J it makes sense to substitute that for C-D. But my Smart Media Card isn't here yet :(
