i wouldnt bother with a 303 if you got a 404. Theres alot of little things the 404 for offers that will throw you off a bit when you goto a 303. The pitch control on the 404 and 303 is the same :)

word, the pitch shift sounds like it works good- probably cause of the shitty muffled sound quality. if you heard that shit recorded thru a line you would probably notice the sample getting fucked up.

I watched the video again and if you watch closey.he hits pad 6 with the sample then he does the pitch but then hits pad7!hmmm im thinkin he pitched it down in the computer or some other joint and then just put it on another pad!cuz if you listen carefully the sample is way slower then the origanal and when you use the pitch efx the bpm is usally the same tempo!

he has the pt-01 turntable... it has +/- 10% pitch which is pretty nice... so I assume he used that...I always slow down or speed up my sample to where I want it b4 I sample. If im not sampling drums I usually create a simple drum sequence and then match the sample up to that..works pretty well... not on a portable table tho :)

haha, yeah he is cheating. He does the same when he uses octave. Use the eeffect on pad 3 and hit pad 4. Well, I would still like to see more videos.

i think he was doin it the way i thought of doin it but never actually did it...
he has a hihat loop and i think he resamples that while he plays the kick and the snare on top of it ...so then he has a loop of his drums 8) ya'll better step your game up

ya, The 303 is great for that because the pads are much more responsive.

chulukinat - you reckon he resamples the kick and snare onto a pad while the hat loop is playing, making that single pad hold all the drum parts? that's help polyphony i guess, but wouldn't it be a bit restrictive groove-wise?

To, me its really usefull because then you can use the pattern sequencer as a "song mode" basically record all your loops over the entire length of the track you are making.
