hey guys,

i'm currently in the process of gathering some old gear to sell and i'll have some money to buy some new shit. i currently have a 505 and i have been using it for a couple years now, more or less satisfied with it. i am considering buying a 303 because the simple and organic workflow seems very appealing, especially coming from the tedious and mathematical vibe of the 505. also the 505 doesn't look very cool lol the 303 is much more classic. however, i'm worried that a 303 will feel limiting, with less pads, no screen, and i think it's slower with processing (is it?). idk guys, i don't want to make a redundant purchase, can someone convince me to spend the cash?

thanks

it all depending from your workflow
the 505 is more studio oriented while the 303 is more live and more intuitive (expecially in editing)

Good luck trying to go from 16 pads and 32 banks to 8 pads and 4 banks.

i don't think i will sell the 505, maybe just use both for awhile and see how it goes. is the 303 small enough to be easily portable?

I have 303 for a while and now i bought 505, but I don't work on it. 303 seem much more familiar (and faster in workflow) to me. 303 is about a half size of 505. And yes, 8 pads x 4 banks could be a pain in the ass, also because banks A and B could'n store much in the internal memory. 303 and 505 seems like good combo. I prefer smaller units (than 505) to work with...
