hi
i've read on topics that you cannot backup samples from bank C and D...so the only workaround could be just to resample on bank A or B and then back up from that? and if samples are too long for internal memory, how to backup that way, without using "lo-fi" or "long" mode to avoid loosing quality?
other question is: is it possible to load bank C/D's (short) samples on banks A/B, renaming them on pc in order to make the 303 recognize them as if they "belonged" to bank A/B? have you already tried that?
thanks

Make a backup on the computer? Copy the files from the card to a new folder on your computer. Just put the card back in and if something doesn't go as planned or gets messed up just delete all and reload the files onto the card from that saved folder. Not sure if this is what you need

thanks i thought something like this, i was surprised to the fact that the 303 only backup A and B parts; imagine, i have it since 2008, and i almost never backuped files from it
so, if i backup its patterns then the 303 must normally recognise original position(pads) where the samples originally where, right? but, how to load back those samples on C and D? they will come automatically when i load the patterns or not?

Ya patterns are saved in their entirety. Make sure to write down the bpm of the pattern(s) because the 303 will keep the last set bpm and is unable to save that type of information but the chops, placement, time stretch etc will all be saved. (side note: when you clear the card banks on the 303 to make room, the card will still show the internal memory files when you put it back in the card reader/computer so you gotta delete those files [dont worry they're not going anywhere] before you copy a whole folder over. This is because when you save a project to the computer it's also saving the internal memory files and the order of the files matters when it comes to the 303 reading it all correctly.) cheers!

Are you asking if you can play a pattern from internal memory with samples from the card banks?

Yes. In terms of my question, I think you can I've had patterns saved on the card with samples from the internal initiated during the loop so the opposite should work but make sure
