@ your pitch question: afaik the DSP Pitch Effect is able to pitchshift the sample, that means it does not effect the length of the sample just modulates the tone.

you can use this effect also in realtime! while speeding up your voice via microphone in realtime isn't possible ;)

i got my 303 2 days ago and already love it. i am about to finish the manual today ;-)

can't wait to read more and more in this great forum to learn some new stuff!
peace

One thing that might be neglected by a new 303 user is the effect grab button. Before I had ableton for sidechain compression I would create "fake" ducks in my sample loop by using the isolator effect with all the knobs down which created a mute. Just hold down the effect grab button and now when you hit the isolator button a mute will occur for as long as you press it. I would just quickly mute where the kick or snare hit in the original sample, resample that loop and drop my own kick and snare in.
I also used to play with this effect rhythmically over a long sine wave to make a dubstep lfo wooble sound.
I guess it's more of a simple gate effect than side chain compression, but I would use it to try and recreate that pulsation in the final mix along with vinyl sim compression.

Yeah, I never used the on-board sequencer.
Resampling is fun and direct. It's the main reason why I even use the sp303 in the first place.

Take advantage of resampling with the Ext Input.
