i read somewhere that smaller memory cards make the 303 and 505 faster, is this true? if so i need to cop a 32mb card, i don't really need 32 minutes of sampling time.

it is true (at least on the 505). the problem is finding any cards nowadays.

personally 32 minutes is a ton for 16 pads IMO. (on the 303.) my most recent track had about 30 seconds worth of samples for a 4 minute track. http://soundcloud.com/treezyz/killa-ego-sherm-party of course the sampletrak (which this track was done on) uses it's sample time more efficiently than sps as assigning to different pads and changing pitch etc doesn't take up more sample time but still 32 minutes is excessive for 16 pads. on the 505 i can see the 32/64 minutes being useful because there's so many more pads available.

I've used 32 and 64MB on my 303 and the only time it slows is when deleting 3 minute long samples which takes a good 10 seconds.
