I know that the 303 is limited in memory. However, unless in lo-fi mode I can hardly fill two banks with samples before running out of room. I have a 64 mb smart media card in my 303. According to amazon the 303 can have up to 200 minutes of sampling time, and has two minutes without any smart media cards? Does anyone know why I have so little sampling time?

did you read the manual at all? it explains everything about sampling time. it's cut in half when you sample in stereo. also do you have a memory card or are you just using the internal banks?

i bought the sp303 from a house mate who was leaving on a cycle tour and couldn't bring it with. i downloaded the manual, but really dislike reading pdf files so i didn't really go through the manual. i wasn't aware that sampling in stereo cuts the time in half. this should help out quite a bit

Honestly out of manuals the SP series is very very good. Doesn't feel like reading a boring one for some software. It's pretty short and each page has awesome stuff in it. Was just looking at the SP404 last night and figured out two new things I never knew. tl;dr, the manual isn't that bad for the SP series, definitely worth a once over.

ya read the manual, there are some button press combinations that are real simple but you would never figure out on your own. i've only been on the sp for a few weeks and already have somewhat of a grasp on it thanks to the manual and these forums, but the manual lays (most) of what you need out, you should be able to find the rest on here.
