So i finally got round to trying to syncing up the 303 with a roland mc-303, problem is after a minute or so of playing the two start going wildy out of time. Any suggestions on how i can fix this?

I midi sp404 to a mc307 and haven't had the problem. Maybe make sure trigger modes on sp303 are set to retrigger and not gate or loop.

the MC-303 is notorious for having MIDI sync issues... it'll always go off sync after a little while... so to answer your question, the issue is the MC-303 itself. that's one of the main reasons that they're available for cheap. i'm sure the midi issue has been documented somewhere on the internet...

are you using looped samples or patterns? you need to use patterns if you want it to stay synched as the sample might read the right bpm but be off by a few fractions

Yeah, I've been using patterns, after a few times round they just go madly out of time.

Yeah I have heard about these, I fear this is the problem, Might have to think about selling the mc-303 and upgrading to a better drum machine.

Cheers fellas for your replies!!
