So I am brand new to the SP family with my 303. Been using samplers for many years and know my way round an mpc etc though.

Couple of questions:

1) Can the SP 303 read and use 128MB smart media cards? I know the card is compatible, but can you actually utilise the whole 128mb of space? Ive searched the forum and found differing opinions on this.

2) I intend to load whole finished beats onto single pads for a live show. Is their any reason this isn't possible? I know the sample time available to me, but is their any other restriction on the length of individual samples? Can I record for example a 2min beat as one continuous sample and have it on 1 pad for triggering, then another 2 min on another pad etc?

Any help would be appreciated.

not sure about #1.
#2 should be ok as long as your beats are on the external banks (not A or B)

You can use 128 mb cards in the 303. The 128 mb cards give you double the sample time as a 64. When the 303 manual was printed 64 mb was the largest size available. I use a 128 in my 303, it works fine.
