new to the 303.

one feature of the 303 that i prefer over the 404 is the increased flexibility when marking loops on and off on the fly (not returning to the new sample start point on each adjustment). coming from an MPC background the great appeal of the SP machines lay in live beat building/effecting and microwaving.

however occasionally when i am mucking around with the reverse button on a marked loop the 303 will freeze and i will get 3 funny little flashing dots in the BPM display.

this is beyond the occasional playing out of sample beyond the mark point, or another sample dropping out. in this case all sound drops out for a few seconds and the display has a flash spaz.

i would think that this is simply an issue of overextending processing power, but of course i'd be interested to know if there is some problem exclusive to my box. i use a 64MB card with no known issues and plenty of free space.

anyone else experienced this? anyone care to experiment by thrashing the reverse on and off while a loop plays?

cheers.

Mine does this too at random times. I thought it was just catching it's breath or something lol.

ETA: It just happened in the middle of recording lol

Yep, this happens on mine all the time. Generally when I'm going crazy on the mark button, or reversing stuff a lot. I assume it is overload, but I bet you could workaround this if you changed the sound quality of the samples down to 16 bit or something like that. will report.
