from screwing around on this thing for the last two days, i have noticed that when you resample, it also seems to mess with the starting point of the sample.

according to my rough estimate, if after you resample and it seems out, all you have to do is move the starting point FORWARDS by 5. seems to put it roughly back into the right spot.

anyone else experience this or have any other tips?

this just in....
after more experimentation it seems that after resampling a sound once that it moves the sound a tiny bit (1-2 increments on the time/start knob), then on the second time you resample the same sound it moves it even more (5-6 on the time/start knob).
and yes, i am trying to learn every inch of this machine to get the most out of it!

i'll try it out and see if my sp does the same

Uno, Yep. It seems to be happening when i resample with an effect. i like to usually add at least two effects to each sound i use.

i tested what you said, and its nearly the same on my sp.. i have to turn the start time knob by 2-3 increments. I think the sp records his own output internally while resampling.. but the record starts a tiny bit earlier as the sound starts playing.. which is better then the other way round ;)
if i only do resampling once on a sound, i dont think its neccessary to edit the starting time.. i didnt experience a difference in timing when i play my whole beats.. maybe if i resample more then once, there can be hearable timing problems..

I haven't tested this but I would guess it's a result of some of the more complicated fx. I bet resampling doesn't do this in itself / when done dry.

All hardware fx units have a latency in ms to process the audio. If you are only listening to the wet signal then the sound will be delayed by that number of ms each time you resample.

I would guess some of the SP fx have more latency than others. Great sounding FX though.
